MXT with Super 12 on Beach

Finally got my Super 12 coil for my MXT, now I guess I have an MXT 300 :twodetecting: Was out near the Eden Rock Hotel on Miami Beach from Sunrise until about 11:15, dealt with Jelly fish, pull tabs, bottle tops, all very deep. The Super 12 coil makes you dig, but the results can be worth it. I found a 1979 Susan B (really good condition) at about 11 inches (dry sand) and a Zippo type lighter at about 8" (dray sand). The lighter does not feel like stainless steel, and is very light. On the bottom it says "limited edition 2007" Made in China, but I cannot figure out who made it or why it is a limited edition. It is a very plain looking lighter. In the wet sand I was pulling pull tabs at about 14". If pull tabs and bottle tops were worth money I would have had it made, dug about 120 this morning, long handle scoop makes it some what easier. In wet sand I pulled 1 1984 penny at about 9" and at the edge of the wet and dry sand I pulled a 1981 dime at about 10.5". I found the Super 12 to be very easy to pinpoint with, but after a few hours it did get a little heavy more so than my 6x10DD. Tried some sweeps in the surf (up to ankles) but it was a little too rough today and had to lower gain too much to make it worth while. All in all a great day with my "old MXT" acting like a new MXT 300!
