MXT vs Garrett

I have a friend who uses an older Garrett and she is going to buy a new detector soon. She is pulled between a new Garrett and the MXT. She is looking at the 1500 I think in the Garrett. Anyone used both and have any advice. Of course I would recommend the MXT because I know the machine but I have no experience with the Garretts.

I would recommend the MXT, I have never used a Garrett but my Dad has the 1500 and is not pleased with it after using my MXT, I also have some friend that use the Garrett for gold prospecting they do a good job but the detectors are cheap made and they do have allot of problems with things breaking on them. I would not invest in one........Just my opinion, some people like them........Tell her WHITES..... WHITES......WHITES......MXT.............

I have used them both the 1500 and the MXT and even a 2500 and would take the MXT hands down. It is easier to use, faster and find it has a better ID too.

Used the Garrett and it was a dog in the bad ground over here in Aus false signals all over the place. The MXT cruises
