MXT vs DFX Question

New member
Evening ladies and gents;
Can someone tell me the plus and minus of the MXT verses the DFX or vise versa??? It looks to me like the one id digital thing and the other is analog so to speak? Would appreciate knowing the pluses and minuses of each if someone has the info and time.

A world of difference. The MXT was designed as a gold detector modeled after the GMT. The C&J and the Relic modes were added to the circuitry. The MXT has a VSAT that includes a super SAT feature that is priceless when it comes to mineralized ground. The DFX has none of this and, although it says it has a prospecting mode, it is useless in the gold fields as a gold detector. They both have preset modes but for a difference in operation it takes some time to program the DFX. The MXT is a 10 sec turn on and go. Coils are the same.

MXT 300 FOR ME !!!! I HAD A NEW DFX GOT 1-4-09 AND MY BROTHER HAD A MXT HE WOULD GET A HIT NO A TARGET AND I WOULD TRY TO FIND IT WITH MY NEW DFX NOT A SOUND DUG IT UP AND IT WAS A SMALL MUSKET BALL 32 CAL.THIS WENT ON FOR WEEKS SO I TRADE FOR THE MXT 300 AND THE GROUND OPEN-UP 3-20-09

The DFX factory programs are pretty mild and needs to be tweaked for your ground. The MXT on the other hand is a great machine right out of the box.

Just a question to all who use a dfx...when do you know it's tweaked right for the present situation? [evil grin]

When it goes just as deep as an MXT.........you are getting real close....:laugh:
