MXT vs Classic ID w/mods

Just wondering if a Classic ID with mods (yup pondering the one for sale on the forum) would offer anything different to complement an MXT? Either depth wise or if a different frequency would maybe hit some subtle targets different.

Then again if it was a depth difference perhaps the MXT modification I have read a little about would be a better investment if I felt a need to spend $.

Any thoughts? I've never used a modded MD.

I had a IDX Pro with mods. In my opinion, it didn't out perform my MXT. It was a good detector, but I do not feel it was any better on depth or sensitivity. I really like the MXT for all around versatility, especially with a few different coils. The one for sell would make a great backup unit though, or a spare for someone who wanted to try detecting with you.

Thanks for the reply.... Looks like someone picked the Classic up in the mean time. Gives me a great excuse to continue to get to know the MXT.
