MXT VDI reading gone haywire

New member
Hi I have been using the MXT for about 2 years and have had some great success, however lately the VDI reading seems to becoming erratic. In that i mean the numbers that related to certain coin configurations have now changed.
For example coins that were reading 65 now read between 10 and 65 bottle tops would always read 60+ but can now read as low as 10.
The detector still detects well but i am confused why the VDI is all over the place.
By the way i have tried several coils all with the same problem

thanks
in advance

Rick

Now THAT sounds like an internal problem.:(
You will want to call Whites and ask for their technical service and explain the problem.
DON'T settle for talking to a sales person. They mean well .......; ask for the number for a technical center near you if no one is at the first number.
My VDI screen went out on me. Fortunately the problem was confined ONLY to the VDI screen and not in the electronics. I covered myself and checked with three different service centers to see what kind of answer I would get, like getting three different opinions from three different doctors.

It is strange though that for you, bottle caps read 65. For me that would be a penny. Bottle caps for me range in the 50's.

Good luck.
