MXT reading

I went out for about an hour before that wet stuff came in.I tryed the 14" again on a lake beach still samething.Theres something funny,if I remember right the MXT shows the soil number on it when you ground balance.Ever since I put the 14" coil on I do not get a ground reading.I tryed the stock coil there and when I got home still no reading. Am I just not thinking right?
 
I looked and I do not have it on lock.Just in case anyone would ask.
 
Tom, Try switching to prospecting mode, you should have a ground reading there.
 
The ground reading only shows in prospecting mode. Try that.
