MXT problems

Hi Everyone:
Due to lots of stuff going on, I haven't been detecting a lot lately and haven't been posting on the forum, although (on occasion) I do manage to check and see what everyone else is posting... Anyway, I've had my MXT for almost 2 years and never had any problems with it. I decided to take it over to the school yesterday evening since I hadn't had it out other than taking it out in the yard for 10-15 minutes here and there. It seemed to be working ok except after about an hour or so, it would just lose all power and then come right back on. Once it came back on, it seemed to work the same. It did this quite a few times. Any ideas on what's going on? The batteries are new and are in correctly. It hasn't been wet, left in hot car, dropped, or anything else.
Thanks,
Fran

Hi Fran, good to see you again!!! My MXT did that when I had only had it a few months. It did it several time and I was going to send it in to be checked out but then it just stopped happening and it's never happened again. I do know other people on here have also had the problem.

The screen just goes totally blank and then it comes right back on. The longest it has stayed off has been maybe 10 seconds. If it keeps doing it, I guess I'll have to send it in to be checked out. I'm not gonna have a lot of free time for detecting anytime in the near future anyway. We sold our house and are currently living with my sister and are getting ready to build. How have things been with you? I've been reading some of your posts when I have time, so I see you've at least been doing some detecting...

suggested that also, and I will do when I get home tonight. Thanks for the suggestion though!!
