MXT Pro

Blind Dr

New member
Hi Everyone,
After much consideration and hours of reading I decided to purchase an MXT Pro. Thanks Kenny! I am anxious to get it and see how it works. My experience thus far has been with an M6 which I love. The problem has been my 11 year old son. I bought a coinmaster for him as a Christmas present and he has used it alot and really enjoyed it. One day he picked up my M6 and he always uses it now. I decided that maybe this was a good time to get a new detector, at least I had an excuse. So we will just see how the new machine works out.

I also learned of several great areas that I can hunt on. As it turns out my parents have owned property that have old school houses on them. They have 5 properties that all have old school houses on them and one of them has an old cannon ball factory. I have been on all of those properties and can remember the remains of the building for the factory. The other properties I haven't been on for several years but will be heading off on them this week. After having dinner with my mother last night, she reminded me of the properties and my son and I lit up like a christmas tree. We are both really excited to try out the virgin grounds. Some research on the property titles showed that three of them were in the late 1800's and 2 were opened in 1901. I about kicked myself for not remembering these places. So, maybe I will have something to eventually post instead of just reading about everyone else.......

Congrats on your new purchase of the MXT Pro. You'll love it. I'm sure your son is happy too since he gets to use your M-6. Sounds like you've got yourselves some wonderful places to hunt for some time. If you think you've got it all, go back again and again.........You'll be surprised at how much you can find. we wish you luck and have a good time. Don't forget to take bottles of water. You'll need it in this heat. Can't wait to hear how it goes. HH, Nancy

You might as well get two of them Gary, something tells me you are going to lose the MXT Pro too.......... oh well, you will get your M6 back.......

Good luck with those new spots, sounds like you have some good ones.

Thanks Larry and Nancy. Branden still remembers you giving him the coins Nancy, When we drive past your house he reminds me of it all the time. I think he is more excited about the new machine than I ever will be. He is also getting our neighbor who is a year older than him started as well. They took off this morning with the M6 and the coinmaster while I was finishing a project. Our neighbor was pretty excited to go.

We wish Brandon lots of luck and hope he can find many many old coins himself. Great kid there! HH, Nancy

Great stories . . .good luck.

I was 'bout 11 or 12 when I first "discovered" detecting. It opened up great doors of adventure and discovery for me as a kid! (& still does) Your son is very fortunate to have a dad that opened that door for him! I wonder if my new daughter will have his enthusiasm? Na, prolly not! LOL - Good luck on those awesome sites that await you! :pulltab:
