MXT PRO

Hi guys and girls, just wanted to let you know that in my opinion the Pro is a winner. Have had mine for about a month now and I have used the 5.3 coil , 9.50 coil and the 12" stock coil , and they all work great. The tones are especially good for my type of hunting. Haven't hunted at night yet, but hope to do it soon. HH to all and enjoy the Pro. Al

Hi Albert, that seems to be the consensus so far. What type of hunting do you do mostly, coins, old coins or...? Also how's the ground grab feature working for you, have you had a chance/need to use it yet ? Thanks and good luck.

Hi Scott, been mostly park hunting. But that's were the tones come in handy. I can hear every tone because of the different targets . It's not always foolproof, but it gives you a good idea along with the vid numbers. Haven't needed to use the ground grab feature yet. The Pro is so attuned to the changing ground conditions , that I haven't really needed to use the ground grab. Now my wife has been trying the Pro out and she is really liking it because of the easy setup and how accurate it id's. I'm trying to see if I can swing a DFX and let her use the Pro for a while. But I would definitely recommend the Pro, at least for my area here in San Diego , Ca. My wife and I are planning to go beach hunting next week. We'll let you know what happens. Thanks. HH. Al

Thanks for that Albert. I'll be looking forward to the beach hunting review. I'm in Central Ca. (most call it "Northern") on the coast of Monterey Bay so your experience with it will probably be pertinent for me also...I'm assuming. Good luck.

Hi Scott, didn't make it to the beach today but hopefully here soon. From what I read the MXT should do well on the beach. If you are hunting the wet sand ,than you ground balance on the wet sand and vise versa on the dry sand. Will try it , and I'll let you know what happens. HH. Al
