MXT PRO What mode to operate in ???

St Bernard

New member
I just received my new MXT all Pro this week. I have read several times where instead of using coin and jewelry they like to use the relic mode instead. Is there an advantage in using relic instead of coin and jewelry when looking for
coin and jewelry primarily. I would appreciate feedback on this. Thanks

I got an MXT All Pro last month and have been using relic mode just to learn how it sounds for different metals [relic mode defaults to 2-tone but you can press the music symbol on the display and get 7 tones or so I interpret the manual.] I have been detecting in my yard while getting used to the new detector. I mostly found iron junk or bit of aluminum siding from when the house was built 34+ years ago. I don't see why you couldn't do the same in coin and jewelry mode to learn how the different metals sound. Enjoy your new machine and good luck with it.
