MXT Pro question re coils

Member
I have gone through just about every brand of detector including the V3i, Etrac & XP Deus over the last 2 years and have come back to an old reliable - the MXT Pro - just can't beat it for a turn on and go deep seeking detector.

I plan to spend most of the winter on the Gulf coast of Florida and I have 3 coils to choose from when trying my luck on the beach - the 950, the 300 and the SEF 10x12. I know that the first 2 are pretty good on the beach because they are concentric but I am wondering if the SEF would be a better choice....has anyone used the SEF at the beach and if so, how has it performed compared to the concentric coils and which one of those 3 would be your first choice?

I have used the sef 10+12,and the 300 on the beach on the California, Oregon border beach and they didn't work. They work on ground that had dry sand and dirt mix but not the beach. Dry sand the dd 6+10 wet d2.
