mxt pro problem!

Hi all! My mxt pro seems to be having a problem. If I set the gain to anything over the preset it goes crazy saying overload. It does this regardless of what mode I am in. Anyone know what might be going on?

Could be a lose coil connector or even a bad coil. If you have a coil cover on, take it off and look for dirt or moisture. It sounds like a call to White's service might be in order.

My mxt pro has the DX-1 probe on it and if I switch to the pin pointer while the sensitivity is above the preset it will overload WHILE the pin pointer is snapped onto the detector. If you have the dx-1 probe make sure the dx-1 selector is switched to COIL.

Otherwise, I agree about dirt and minerals in the coil cover causing an overload and generally unstable and state.
