whites took off , notch, trigger forward , i use this all the time , don't like this on pro,anyone else, hh jay.

I haven't read the manual yet but it seems like the old trigger forward-Relic mode is now one of the three Relic modes.

I believe Honda is referring to the trigger forward notch feature which is only in C/J mode Larry. I thought I read somewhere Whites was doing away with that on the Pro. Personally I usually hunt in relic mode but even when I'm in C/J I don't use the notch feature. No matter where I'm hunting I'm usually on the lookout for nickels....and rings.

:confused: My Bad.........:shrug: I forgot all about that feature.

One of the features requested before, was the ability to lock pinpoint, especially those with the Inline DX-1 probe. And that is what trigger forward does now in both C&J and Relic modes as stated in the manual.

Trigger Switch has three positions;
1. Center (Primary Search)
2. Squeeze and Held (Pinpoint)
3. Forward (Locks Pinpoint)
4. Prospecting Mode Only, Trigger Squeezed
and held, or pushed forward and locked,
temporarily disables ground tracking

With the addition of 7 tones, instead of notching out pulltabs, you just have to figure out which tone corresponds to that range. Then just ignore that tone when you hear it. Isn't that the reason to have multiple tones anyways, as a form of audible discrim/notching? For me, I'm happy with the Relic mode 2 tones, I dig everything above my discrim setting as it is.

Relic mode, trigger forward has been replaced by the tone options now available in that mode.

Thanks for that info

Do you know what about the different SAT speeds of the Relic mode?

that explains it now , i don't use a dx probe , i see how it would help but i use the notch or will have to use tones , hh jay..
