MXT-Pro Hunt before the Wife Returns from "Callie".

Got out today in the heat with the Pro. Wife is coming back from Calif this p.m. and I'm sure the honey doo list will be somewhat lengthy. Tried an old home site & old ballpark. Finding some older clad and wheats and other stuff but just CAN'T hit silver ? Kinda disappointed. Today I did find this neat 1949 commerical fishing tag (for special fish nets used in the Bayous) issued by La. DW&F. Also, a 1951D wheatie in really great shape. Lots of clad too ! Anyway, thanks for viewing. CCH :usmc:

You are doing everything right EJ and one of these days silver will find YOU when you least expect it.........:)

Maybe your just trying to hard . I hunted three spots on and off for the last three years and got a few wheats and modern clad then all of a sudden this year I hit silver in all three places only one coin in two of the places and four silver coins in the other one . so I think it is due to me getting to know what my MXT was telling me better and learning what area's to hit in the three spots . I also learned to slow down and sort thru the trash better nd to find the good stuff it is hiding . Experience no replacement for it .
Just relax enjoy your hunts and practice and it will get better as you get more experienced with your pro . Good Hunting

Keep it up. If you are getting wheaties, silver won't be far away!!

Great digs and I love the commercial fishing tag. Larry and I have found 2 of them last year on private property where years back they would dip the nets in the tar pit. What history and quite rare to find them. Congrats and hope your wife doesn't have too long of a "honey do" list. HH, Nancy

Yes Nancy,

The tags were issued and placed on the same type of nets that is / were also dipped in TAR here in LA too. Becasue of the large fiberglass type rings (hoops) used to support the sections of netting, we call them "hoop nets" as noted on the tag. Thanks for viewing.

Looking for Siver ! :ranting: CCH
