MXT PRO--First time out

mrgarlic

New member
Good morning all, I am back after a long absence from Findmall. Yesterday was first time out with the MXT. I found coins and I think I will like the new machine but it has a crackle I don't like. My other detector was an XLT and it had a steady hum that would adjust with the threshold. I can't seem to adjust this noise out,,,,any help out there??

Welcome back to the forum.
I have the MXT also and it is noisy.
I usually kept the sound barely audable with volume controlled headphones.
Giving it a rest this summer using the XLT and learning to use the analog 5900/DI PRO SL
To many detectors and not enought time:stars::laugh:

I never used a XLT, but I agree when most people say the MXT is noisy. Grab a pair of good headphones with volume control and after adjusting the proper gain, adjust the volume pinpointing and object or producing an Overload

after some hunts you will feel the MXT talking to you (Yeah, they say I'm a little crazy, but I still don't believe them )

EDIT: I forgot to say that I use the old MXT, but I think the same principle applies

Welcome back and as others, I keep the threshold turned down just enough to hear it. The more you use it, the more you'll love that MXT. HH, Nancy
