MXT Pro at Old School Site from 1940s

Temperature was a cool 98 degrees here today down the on the bayou NOT counting the heat index :ranting: !!! Went out hunting for a few hours this morning (in the shade) to a VERY old site near Rayne, LA which used to be a Rural type grammar thru high school during the early 1900s. I learned that it had closed down during WWII and was eventually demolished at some point afterwards. Today, only parts of the foundation remain with alot of weeds. LOTS of "trash" on the grounds also. During my recon and while talking to the people in the area and the property owners, I learned that this site had been hunted many times long ago and had produced lots of good finds to include silver. I quickly realized that it had been 'cherry picked' so I decided to crank the gain on the MXT Pro to +2 and she what she could find. . ... and minus (-) 4 lbs later due to perspiration....

2 War Nickles 1943 & 1945 VDI = 40
1 Indian Penny 1907 (but in very bad shape) VDI = 30
8 Wheaties (1925, 1940, 1944 and couldnt read the others due to poor condition) VDI = 74

Was hoping for some large silver coins  but I was happy with the way it ALL turned out.....

REST COMFORTABLY FOR THEY HAVE ALL BEEN RESCUED AND ARE SLEEPING SOUNDLY IN MY FIND'S JAR ! The MXT Pro and I worked pretty hard today .... cch

Great finds and I bet there's some silver that was left behind. I love to see the nickels and also a hip hip hurray for your Indian Cent. Super finds for sure! Try to stay cool. Thanks for posting and HH, Nancy
