MXT or Tejon?

It's built for relic hunters, it works well in trash, has good depth and a lifetime warranty that is hard to beat. The price won't hurt either. Good hunting, David@dixie

for relic hunting. Most of the relic hunters I know use the Tejon and all use the 5.75 coil, me included. I also use an F75 but I will never part with my Tejon. When I first got it, and for quite some time after, I was amazed at the finds I get using the ejon. Not so much at the finds but at the Tejon. Somehow it just pull's the good stuff out. It has one tone but somehow you can tell what it junk and what is good. The two disc modes really are great. I can easily tell a pulltab. Buttons and nickles come in really close to each other, with the nickle usually just a hair higher on the disc. Most other coins will still have a good tone with the disc maxed.
As far as the MXT, I have two frineds who hunt relics with the MXT and do very well. They are mean coin hunters too. Either one will work just fine but for relics I would go with a Tejon and the small coil, you lose little or no depth and it is light.

HH,

I'm sure both machines would do well. I haven't used the MXT but my Tejon with 5.75 coil works very well. It seems like relic is its main purpose, and it does just fine for other types of hunts. It's one nice machine.
