MXT - liking it more and more...

As I watch more videos and listen to some of you folks on here talk about the MXT, I am really liking this machine. I need to bring it out . I was about to give up with out ever giving it a chance. Yesterday I was about to sell it. Guy never got back to me. So last night I was messing with it and it clicked. Damm I was about to just over look it. Now if the weather ever gives in . If I decide I can live with out it,my son or daughter will have a new detector. GS

Put a Eclipse 5.3 coil on it and go use it. Try those hard to hunt trashy sites and the machine will amaze you.

Must admit i really like the 5.3 coil as well, was out with mine earlier today on a saxon site in deep under growth and the only coil that would do the trick was the 5.3 coil.

I just got my MXT-Pro today! Only got to assemble and run it through my test garden and around my yard for a bit. I think I'm going to love like this machine! I have read about half of Jeff Fosters book. I know this machine can find the smallest things very deep. I dig a 22 bullet at 7-8" that sounded like it was on top of the soil and the small rim fire part of a 22 casing nearly as deep. Like the 2 tone audio and threshold.

I've always said, "The more I use the MXT, the more I love it.".

Two must have coils for the MXT are the whites eclipse 5.3 and the Detech 8x6. These two coils will light up your detector.
With these two coils nothing can hide from you covering 99% of any hunting situation.
The 5.3 has the edge for being user friendly and over all performance.
With these two coils you will never be out gunned or feel the need for any other detector.

I love the MXT !! It has taken over as my favorite detector ever. Simple and deep and great tracking and ID. what more could you want !! Glad. you are giing it a chance. It will win you over.

Bowser - I have both the 4X6 and the 5.3. I like both and the the 5.3 can be used as an "every day coil" much of the time, BUT if you need to work through really heavy trash, the 4X6 is surgical in its separation. Best heafy trash coil I've ever used even thought limited in depth and coverage due to the smaller size.

I agree with Barber Bill....the 4X6 is deadly in the heaviest trash. Yes, it gives up some depth to the 5.3, but you cannot find what you cannot see...and that little DD can pick out the goodies in the trash!

Yes, I've been hunting a very trashy side yard (lots of nails) with the 9" spider and found over 50 coins but most of them were shallow. To give you an idea how bad it is, Its work to find a empty patch to ground balance on. I'm looking forward to re-hunting it a surgical coil like the 8x6 or even the 5.3. It is old enough for there to be other stuff in there, I'm just not seeing it.
