MXT Kicks AZZ!

Nancy-IL

Well-known member
Larry and I went to a seeded hunt function that lasted two days and I (yeah, ME) kicked azz with the MXT. I was so tickled and happy with my take. I honestly took the grand prize which consisted of a Whites DFX metal detector along with a Harley Davidson shirt from the dealer and a subscription from a metal detecting magazine. American Digger. :bouncy: I think Cajuncoinhunter should check into that magazine. Along with the silver and the clad, I came home with $189 in cash. Thank you MXT and Whites. Oh how I love this machine. Total take for the weekend was approximately $1444.00. Yes, I'm a happy girl!!!!!!!! HH, Nancy

Congrats on the excellent hunt and rewards.
That is one nice return for your dedication and perseverance to the hobby.:clapping:

Just bought a MXT tonight.
Been reading a lot and watching videos and this was the best for my budget and what I wanted one to do

Way to go Nancy. You cannot beat the MXT for simplicity and durability. I will never get rid of mine.

Thank you Delta Digger. I too won't get rid of my MXT. As for the DFX, I'll sell it. :) This gal is sticking with her dear MXT. HH, Nancy

Congrats on your new purchase and I know you're going to love your MXT. The more you use it, the more you'll love it. I wouldn't have any other machine. The MXT is the best in my opinion and most definitely keeps up with the "so called" big boys. Welcome to the forum also Larry. HH, Nancy

Thanks Joel, I think I'm still in shock. HH, Nancy

Nancy ... congratulations to you and your MXT for the excellent performance each of you delivered.

Congratulations Nancy! :clapping: :clapping: Nice going. I've got to agree. It's fun using my MXT. Got to love that machine.

Thanks Bula, No, Larry was crying. Just kidding......He was very happy for me. HH and great to hear from you, Nancy

Thanks Mat and Hunt4Fun. It was a blast and I did have fun giving my all. HH, Nancy

Thanks for the welcome.
So far I am more confused about reading everything it is doing and saying than anything.
Seems it bounces from iron to 25 cents and back again over all most every time it makes a sound.
I know I need time to find out how to use it correctly, sure do not know yet

WOW - Congrats to you. :wiggle: All that "take" and a new machine. You did kick some butt.... I do need to look into the American Digger magazine. I'm so happy for you. CCH

CONGRATS Nancy, Thats Awesome!!
Now I'm gonna try NOT to hi-jack your thread.........

Larry, that sounds pretty typical AS LONG AS it is bouncing and not locking. If the bars that indicate how sure the machine is of the target ID are not present it is normal for the VDI's to bounce. If you mean it is chattering while sweeping, that is also typical for the MXT, Some ppl complain it is noisier than other models but we learn to accept that. The ONLY time you should take any stock in what the VDI's are showing on screen is when you get a consistant tone from a target and the screen shows mostly solid bars indicating it is pretty sure of the ID. Even then it is just a guestimate as there are way to many similar items that read the same(melted aluminum reads as silver quarter, ect). I suggest you start a new thread asking a few specific questions on this very topic so you will get some really good advice from the MXT folks here. We all like to explain the MXT's personalities.

Now back to Nancy's Awesome weekend so we don't change the thread topic! Please don't reply to my reply to Larry. LOL :-D

CCH, When I looked through the magazine, I instantly thought of you. It's got a lot of great relic and C.W. finds in it along with great references. Thanks for the kudos and HH, Nancy

Thanks again, glad I found this site.
That is exactly the information I needed to hear, I was worried my machine may need work in whatever part discerns what it is finding :)

Thanks Aarong81 and I'm not worried about being hi-jacked. Heck, this is a learning and informational forum too. Thanks for helping Larry out. HH, Nancy
