This is from a description of an MXT on ebay...

It works great and is really impressive. I couldnt get a good pic of the display screen but it's brilliant and easy to read. It has a coin & jewelery mode, relic mode, and prospecting mode. I'm not sure what the exact depth is, I believe max is 10ft. if not more.

I just finished reading it. What depth! I want one of those kind of MXT's. :spin: Is he nuts or too much :drinking:??? Doesn't know the machine??? Maybe a typo??? LOL.... thanks for the good laugh. Can you imagine the type of "digging" tool you would have to carry around with you?

HH to all, Nancy

From the way the ad was worded I figured the person probably does not really know a whole lot about detectors........

..hmmmm...can any of us afford the backhoe?????

Hey whats so funny, mine goes down 10 ft, doesn't yours?LOL.:twodetecting: Dennis in Idaho

Dennis, you have me laughing out loud!! Of course, your right!! Tell us again about the size of that steelhead you caught that time.........

I think it has something to do with battery's. You have to use DURACELL to get that kind of depth. :lmfao:

Actually, based on what I've read I'm pretty sure that my MXT300 will see a target at 10'....... but the target has to be the size of a Hummer.
Just sayin'......

The roof on my house is 10 feet above the ground. So I laid on my roof and held my MXT as far down as I could. With the 5 inch coil, I couldn't reach but with the stock 9.5, I was barely able to touch the ground. So I guess it reaches 10 feet if you have long arms and a big coil.

Yes, the legend of the MXT continues to grow. Folks there is no end in sight.

I think he means Atlantis and maybe Babylon too .... just to think about that kinda treasure ......
LOL

I think I found something with my deep finding MXT-300. Anytime I go out, I take the right tools for the job at hand. I think I found that HUMMER....
