MXT goes 10ft if not more.....X-Terra only 2ft....

Seems like I have been running across these kind of posts lately.....

This was from an X-Terra 70 review.

This md punches deep (for a handheld) Today mine picked up a 1949 quarter at 2 feet !!!! With the stock coil !!!! That to me is pretty impressive, as my friend had just gone over the area with his whites dfx....He challenged me to follow him as he swore that the xterra 70 would not pick up on anything that the whites didnt....Well well , what do we have here ? a quarter at 2 feet ? WOW !!!

A quarter at 2 feet!!!??? That's pretty amazing for any detector! I'm having a hard time believing it.
Are we talking at the beach or a park? Cause I have a x70 and I want to know what I'm doing wrong.

All I got to say is tall tales to me X70 will not go that deep, and if it did you just picked up the echo from the DFX, like he said follow me I will make your X70 impressive

nope not going to happen even with a Whites, i have gotten a target at 9 inch's with the MXT ,but at that depth there was just a faint sound and no VDI at all.

I decided to try my detector out to see how deep it went so I found the deepest mine shaft I could, threw it down it and yep, 100 feet.

I have an X-Terra 70 so I know for a fact it will not go that deep on a quarter. I have an MXT on the way........

Don't be disappointed because the MXT won't go that deep either.

I detected and dug a small broken anvil that was at 18". I really think it has a lot to do with the size of your target. I have found quarter size iron at 10" with mine.
