Do a search on nuggets and hundreds will come up, pay special attention to posts By B.T. and Hillbilly Bob. Here are just a few from a search.

I myself havent found nuggets yet.
But I take some fine gold that Ive panned , and I air test alot.
It will "detect" some very small stuff at about an inch. So that gives me hope.
But , I find that air testing helps me to figure out how to set my settings properly, and the different sounds I'll get.
I do it all , Gain maxed, SAT low, then slightly tweak the knobs in different directions till I find where I get the best response.
I'm still working at getting it all in my head.
But its the only type of hands on I can get, till the snow melts.
I do have "The MXT EDGE "book, and I think it is a must for me , to fully understand the potential of my MXT , and how to get that performance .

Good Luck to ya, and let us know how that goes.

Dusty

have info and pic at "first gold ring"

Jack, your machine will pay time and time again for itself. Been there, done that. I've got e of the first MXTs when they first come out and I still wouldn't trade it for any other type of machine. That thing is still plugging away and Lord knows how many hours is on that thing. Larry and I would hunt all day many days from sunup to sundown. The MXT is the best machine in my humble opinion.
