MXT finds strange ring in old garden

jog

New member
Found this old ring in an old garden at my nephews old house.Very different looking, looks like it has gold or bronze in spots. Can anybody identify the symbol on it.Looks like JE but not sure. Thanks for looking.

Very interesting. I hope someone can ID it. Thanks for the pictures and posting. HH to all, Nancy

I have seen rings simular to yours, but I can't remember what that style of script lettering is. I could be JE or it could also be FE. I know some older ring companies engraved rings especially on the inside of the ring with the owners initials and they used script such as the style on your found ring, so you might go to a jewlery store to ask them for assistance. Thats the best I can do for you. Nice find by the way. HH Dennis in Idaho

IT is a TE which is my initials so I guess that means it's mine lol. No if I were gussing (which of course I am ) I would say it is one single letter - not two. I would definitely try to do some research on this ring because it could be very old.

I think your right!
But you have to flip it over, then it looks like an oldenglish L.Still not sure though.
