For a new guy like me this site contains great stuff for the MXT. It was posted in another forum..It is in faq format applicable to MXT's.. hope it is as useful to someone else as it was to me.

If anybody knows the original poster of the MXT FAQs, or what web site first carried it, I would appreciate it if you let me know so I can attribute the original author. Thanks.

I believe that was written by Reno Chris. He posts a lot on http://www.nuggetshooter.com/ if you want to get in touch whith him.

oh man..did i screw up?.. like plagerism or somthing?.. didn't mean to... just saw the site posted on another forum and thoght it was great stuff..
I apologize

Thank you very much for posting that link.
I printed out the faq's and put them in my mxt folder. That is the best thing I've read on operating the MXT, and I will probably read it till memorized! <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D"> Better than the manual! Thanks again. <img src="/metal/html/grin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":grin">

Nothing to apologize about. You didn't do anything wrong. I had originally run into this FAQ somewhere out in the great superhighway, a long time ago. Chiz (who runs the ighunter forum) and I have spent countless hours trying to find the web site that originally carried the FAQ, without sucess. We wanted to find the original site so we could give it proper attribution. We are still looking.
In the meantime, it is too good a document to keep in the dark, so.... it's been posted at the ighunter site.

<STRONG>Dennis,
Here are some more good MXT hints & tips that I've gleaned from other sources.
Hope this helps,
Otto...</STRONG>

owe a lot of folks for a lot of work and their genorisity in posting their findings..
thanks for all the good info.. Just like the info from Rudy's post, I have printed this all out and will read every last word..

THANKS A BUNCH OTTO!! More fodder for my folder! Can't get enough!

Through a bit of research I was able to locate the original author
of the wonderfully informative MXT Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
document.
He goes by Reno Chris at the nuggetshooter forum. Chris has
agreed to let us keep the FAQ at the Insurgent Gophers
web site so others can benefit. Go to:
http://www.ighunters.net/index.htm
and click on the Tutorials button on the left. There are other
informative articles there as well, and a link to the Insurgent
Gophers Forum. HH.

I really enjoyed reading the info you gave out.. Spent better than three hours going through this, could spend more time reading and searching, but got things to do.. Thanks! Cliff

The chart that you made up on page three is a good to have with you when learning how to use your MXT detector. It's a great guide line.. Cliff
