I just purchased a MXT and I'm wondering if you turn the threshold down to just barely silent in the coin and jewelry mode does it then operate the same as the M6 then? Also I am wondering about the 8x6 Butterfly coil that I think Kelleyco sells how does it work on the MXT? Has anyone did any tests on buried targets etc. I might also ad I have a MX5 and hope to have lots of fun with both when the winter here in Wisconsin decides to quit. Thanks in advance. Joe

Hi,i used the 8x6 on my mxt and found it to be a great little coil.......light,good in trashy areas,deep and sensitive on small items.
I suppose if you turned down the threshold so it was silent you would almost be operating an M6,they are basically the same machine after all.

Hi Joe, I use the 8x6 coil all the time on my MXT. I have the 5.3 coil , well i think i have most all coils for the MXT. They will fit your M6 and MX5 as well. If you get one you will use it on all three of your detectors. Good luck with the snow, i can,t wait till spring. Flintstone
