MXT Does It Again

We went to a few tot-lots and also hit an old piece of property. Not much on the property but I did get this Army Good Conduct Medal. I was using my stock coil and it rang up as a half dollar. I would much rather have the medal than the coin. Wish I knew whose it was so it could be returned but there's no way of knowing. When in the tot-lots the BigFoot worked like a charm as always and came home with almost $5 and junk jewelry. HH, Nancy

Good clad haul and medal.

Hi Nancy, Very nice. I know you sent your MXT in last year or the year before, did it help it any to get it cleaned and retruned ? I have had my MXT for about 15 years and never had any trouble, but just want to know if it helped it. I have had alot of other detectors and keep going back to my MXT. I love it, and will always keep it. Have you though about the MXT PRO ? I don,t think it would make anything better for me as i have bad hearing and can,t go by tones anyway. Flintstone

Hi Flintstone, My MXT needed the check up and I was very pleased with the outcome. I had some problems with it and they re-calibrated it like new. Honestly, I don't think it would hurt if you sent it in for a "check-up". If there's nothing wrong with it, they will let you know.

As for the MXT Pro, I wouldn't spend the extra for the tones and backlight. That's my opinion. They don't get any deeper and the older MXT is just as good. In my opinion. Might be a few more bells and whistles, but if you know your machine and I'm sure you do, it would be a waste of money. Yes, another opinion of mine. Stick with the MXT and trust your machine.

If you've not heard, I just got an E-trac but my "go to" machine is the MXT and I have a feeling it will be that for a while. I've got a lot of practicing to do with the other before I start digging into private yards and parks.

HH,
Nancy

Thanks Vito. I sure wish there was a way of finding out whose it was. HH, Nancy
