mxt disc

Hey all I hope everyone is doing good and enjoying the great outdoors as much as I am.
I have a question about my disc I don't know anyone around here that has an mxt to check but I think my disc maybe messed up and with it being a new detector I want to get it fixed.
I don't use a lot of disc but I'm thinking if it's messed up on the high end it could be on the low as well.
Anyways I was just playing with the mxt and was going to see where it would disc a penny out at and it never did I turned it to max and the penny will still come in so is this normal or is my disc defective?

You cannot discriminate the penny out. Anything below the point of your chosen discrimination will sound off. If you set your discrimination on say......7, you shouldn't be able to hear the nickel, pull-tab, or gold ring signals. Unless you've got yourself one might large gold ring. The weather has been fantastic here in Illinois. Hope this helps. HH, Nancy

Whew Thank you Nancy glad it's not defective I was worried.
Other than that I am now enjoying my new toy but I must admit the first few times out I was thinking what a mistake I made because I this machine is very active indeed. lol
But I stuck with it and after several times out lately and some being about all day I am really growing to it more and more and my guesses b4 I dig is getting very accurate.
I can't believe the depth this machine will get on small items as the other day I was in the park and it started getting busy so this park has acres of open area with only hills and pond so I moved there and got a good signal showing 7 inches.
I use an ames digger I got at Lowe's ( have used a couple years it works great) that has the measurements on it and sure enough right at 7 inches was a 22 cal bullet that had been fired but didn't seem to hit anything can't figure how it was so deep but anyways this mxt is awesome and I would highly advise anyone that hasn't used one and gets one to hang with it you'll be so glad you did when you start to understand it's language.
I haven't found anything real old yet as for coins or relics but I know it's coming because it's done proved to me it's capable of getting down if there's a target there.

Ricky, you couldn't have said it better. The more you use it, the more you're going to love that MXT. Lord knows how many times I've said that. Practice practice practice and you will know and trust your machine. That's another statement.........Trust your MXT. You'll find those old coins if you're getting the small 22 shot at 7". It's amazing how the MXT picks out those small items. It's a winner! You're doing great. Keep us posted because I have a feeling that silver coin is coming your way very soon. HH, Nancy
