MXT difference

Can anyone tell me the difference between a reg MXT and the MXT 300  thanks.

MXT comes with a 9.5" coil and the 300 comes with a 12". That is it unless you go with the MXT pro wich has tones, back light and ground grab.

You know, I never thought that GG would be THAT great of a feature. But wow!

My favorite difference with the PRO is the tones! You can detect without staring at the lcd screen. There is a pretty considerable difference in tone between a Zinc penny vs a Copper penny even though the VDI numbers are pretty close! You can leave the Discrimination lower and let your ears discriminate, That way you don't lose DEPTH from turning the disc up. Its so easy to tell your detecting a pulltab/nickle that you can keep going if you don't like digging them, all without looking at the screen.

But as far as the original question, The detectors MXT and MXT 300 are the same except the MXT has Gloss finish and the MXT 300 has Matte finish. They just packaged them with different coils and labeled them differently. It seems there was another label for the MXT as well, but it could have been used for export only. Found one called MXT 7000, not sure if it was made by Whites or not.

Coils are the only difference and also the powder coating paint on the 300. Not all that big of difference. HH, Nancy

never trust the tones or vdi #s ,narrow gauge r.r. spikes come up as + 20s to 40s gold rings, beer cans come up as 25cents ect..most bolts come up as buttons in relic mode .the only thing that i beleive is dead on is the hot rocks at (which i love) dig it all except the hot rocks i dont hunt parks or beaches only the 40 mile desert so i may be biased

[size=large]was looking at the www address on the mxt7000. don't think whites would put that on their stuff. i'd be looking at counterfieting.

It looks like White's made a European model for Eurodetector, a European distributor/retailer.

,hey guts,,dont you get great tones from the M6,,or are they a bit more on the mxt,,rgds :ukflag:

I was refering to the 7 tones of the MXT PRO vs the 2 tones of the MXT. Each tone is very noticeable too. Like Zinc pennies and Copper pennies sounding different without looking at the screen. But anything reading above +10 gets dug when Im detecting. Its just nice to get the heart pumping when you hear that high tone! :geek:
