MXT compared to GM3

I have a GM3 and use it in gold country, beaches, and everywhere else I think interesting. I have been looking at the MXT as a replacement. Am I making a good decision or should I just keep the GM3

As a coin and jewelry hunter the MXT is far superior to the GM3. As far as nugget hunting is concerned, imagine a GM3 with totally automatic ground balancing, and better iron ID. If those two issues are important to you, yes, then consider trading up. If you do, I would suggest also getting the 10x6 DD coil for the MXT; it is a better nugget coil then the standard 950. Hope this helps; HH jim

Another good coil to have is the 4x6 DD shooter coil for gold. Also a decent coil when coin hunting in trashy sites.
