MXT audio problem

Well after 7 years, my MXT isn't up to par. With headphones, I can hear audio but it's kinda faint. Threshold seems to be non-existent even when turned up all the way. NO audio without the headphones.

I sent it to White's Friday. Curious what the problem is.

7 years isn't bad at all for the first time it going into the shop to be repaired. Darn good in fact. I've had the jack go bad along with others in the past, but nothing like you describe. Whites will take care of your machine and probably recalibrate it if needed also. They're good and FAST. HH, Nancy

This post was from September 15th, still a few weeks ago. Repair has been still done I think. So, please, can you tell what issue was it at all?

What you say, Nancy. But mine's from 2003 and still going strong. Build like a tank is all I can say.:detecting:

edited for syntax

Got it back. Small fee. Not sure what was wrong with it. Think just the audio jack. Works like new but wish it was waterproof!

Usually, if you are having audio problems with and without headphones, it is usually the audio circuit that is bad. If the speaker works fine but headphones don't, it's either the headphones or the headphone jack and not the detector audio circuit.

Glad you got it back. HH, Nancy
