MXT at the beach

David T

New member
Sorry if this has been asked before, but bought myself an early X-Mas present late last year and haven't had too much time to play with it yet because of winter. I live in MA......do I need any extra accessory to use at the beach? Any special kind of scoop recommended? Any hints at using new MXT at the beach would be appreciated.

Thanks much,
David

Hi David T ~ If you're going to detect in dry sand you'll need a wire mesh sand scoop. Aluminum ones are great because they are so light. If your digging in hard packed sand along the oceans edge then you'll need a much sturdier stainless steel scoop that you can put your foot on and push it in he wet sand like a shovel.

I'll send you a personal message.
