MXT and salt watter beaches

Hi, I am going to Hawaii in a week and am wondering how the MXT with the Bigfoot and 6x10dd will work on these beaches, anyone know? I also have an Explorer and the CZ3d, would I be better off taking one of these multi frequency detectors or will the MXT handle the salt? I'd sure appreciate any help as this will be my first and last trip to Hawaii and I want it to be a good one. Thanks..Ken
 
Take your Explorer, it can handle the black sand better than the MXT.

Yes, the MXT will work fine on the dry sand with the 6X10dd. It will work so so in the wet sand with some adjustments. But I will recommend that you take your Explorer II since you will be able to hunt in some protected areas in the ocean water up to 1 foot deep. I helped two guys from California both using the Explorer. The first one went home with a platinum diamond ring that appraised $7,500.00. The 2nd one had been hunting our beaches for 5 days with nothing really to show for it. When I ran in to him. His wife was really giving him a hard time about him finding nothing good. I advised him where to hunt. 20 minutes later he had his first diamond ring. The 14K diamond ring fit his wife and that problem was solved. He got a 18K wedding band next day before going home. However I can not promise that you will find gold.
