MXT and 6x8 SEF

Just received the 6x8 and first thoughts are. Am going to like this one.

Did not care for the 5"Eclipse but this is a different deal.

The Eclipse would not hit a 7" dime except one way and that is if you scrubbed it on the ground. The 6x8 sef will hit it hard from any direction even from 1" above the ground and cover more ground to boot.

It should separate better also. The eclipse just did not cut it very well unless you literally crawled it along.

Forgot to add that I also maxed out the disc and it had no affect on the depth.

I Think the MXT just earned a permanent place in the back seat.

Time will tell.

It's a cracking coil......i used one on my mxt with great results, especially on tiny objects.

I recently bought one of these coils,it was only used for a few hours on a MXT but he sold it on,i then bought this small SEF8x6 coil for my DFX,what a transformation it really is a super coil on trashy sites but also gives good ground coverage and is as deep as the 10x6 coil.

I cannot see a reason to take this coil off the detector as i feel it has made a perfect combination.
