MXT 300

I got a crazy good deal on a mint MXT300 today and tried it out when I got home. The first thing I noticed was that it did not have tone ID on the C&J Program. Is this normal ? Never used a MXT but would have thought that it would have Tone ID. Not a deal killer at the price I got it at but just wondered.

No, there's no tone I.D. on the MXT 300. Only difference between the MXT and the MXT 300 is the larger 12" coil. It's still a great machine. I wouldn't part with my "vintage" MXT. :detecting: HH, Nancy

There is no tones on the MXT and MXT 300 in C&J modes. You can hunt in Relic mode and have two tones though. It wasn't until the MXT Pro and MXT All Pro that you got 7 tones in the C&J mode
