MXT 300 verses MXT

Are there any differences between these 2 units other than the coil?

Thanks!

David

Nope. The coil is the only difference. It's like calling a car with new tires a new model.

All works the same except the one I tried had a lower audio tone. Might have just been the one I used but it was lower. Anyone else had the same?

To change your MXT to look like a MXT300 just put on a 12" spider coil, then go to any autobody supply store and buy a can of a spray paint called Bumper Black. Then spray your shaft and waalaa you have a MXT300. A hunting pardner has the MXT 300 and we see no diffrence between the two detectors other than the coil and paint. He no longer uses the 12" coil because of the weight. He got rid of the 12" coil and got the 6x10 DD coil which he likes a lot better. HH Dennis in Idaho
