MXT 1 st month.

I've had my MXT about a month now. I like it more every time I get out with it. I haven't found anything exceptional, but have found some clad about every time out, which isn't bad because I've been hunting the same areas for the last couple of years with many different brands of detectors. What I have noticed while digging the clad is that I dig more coins on edge than before. Maybe they will only be 3 or 4 inches deep but will be perfectly vertical. Some lock on really well, others lock on well enough that you just gotta dig. I've been hunting in Relic mode zero discrimination trigger forward with the 6x10 coil. Hope to find something worth posting in the very near future.

You already have found something worth posting Dale. You're finding targets where you've already been over with other machines. Hey, that's great! I love reading what others find. :clapping: Thanks! HH to all, Nancy

enlighten me please as to why you hunt in the method you described. If there is an advantage, please share it! I just got my MXT friday and I am interested in hearing about your method.

I like hunting this way because everything above iron gives a high tone. This way you hear everything but don't have to constantly look at the meter. The high tone will get your attention and then you can check the VID and decide if you want to dig. I believe it helps to identify non ferrous among ferrous targets.
