MX5??

For you guys that have used an MX5 and and a T2. Would you consider them about the same depth, or is one a little deeper than the other? In the same kind of soil and everything.
I have a T2 and have heard good things about the MX5 and thinking of getting a back up.
Thanks

I envy guys that can afford two or more detectors of the quality of these two. Having said that, I really love my MX5. After researching, I found the MX5 may be heavier, but it's well balanced. I also understand there was an early edition and then an improved later edition T2. So you may get various answers.

I really like my MX5

...Don't have a T2 but have picked up 8" dimes with the small 5.3 Eclipse coil.

Weird - I hated the MX5 with the stock coil, but the 5.3 has made it a whole other detector for me. I just love it now! Now if they'd just make a RNB battery pack for it, I'd be in hog heaven!

The MX5 is so miserly on battery consumption (50 hrs+) that it would take years with the RNB battery to break even on cost. But then again the MX5 is rotated with other detectors in my collection.

Mine lasted 6 months before I realized I shoulda been using it more.
