Got a new mx5 today in the mail. Works perfect and it dont have any issues. Very impressed. Glad whites got this all taken care of in a hurry! All i can say is if you want a fantastic detector that is lightening fast and has plenty of depth with great options better get one. I like mine better than my other detectors.. Its my number 1 detector. Just wanted to let people know they took care of it ! Happy holidays everyone!!

I see it takes eight AA batteries.----Does Whites have a rechargeable battery pack for it?

I dont think so yet. But the AA batteries last like 30 hours. Or you can buy rechargable batteries from walmart.

Hello! .....

Good to hear you have your new detector!
I want to order one too but don't want to go through the
hassle of sending it back.

It's winter in WI here so no rush for me anyway.
Hopefully by spring the old inventory will be sold off
and I can be assured to getting a machine without the
issues.
