MX5 problem?

The fix is a simple adjustment and from my contact with whites im very sure it will be taking care if before you buy .. My detector has the issue but it still is a very impressive detector! Whites has never and will never leave customers hanging..

You'll probably have to ask Whites that question. If I had to guess, I'd probably say "no". But you'd need to ask them to know for sure.

So why take the gamble? I wouldn't buy one unless I was sure it wasn't going to cost me another $50 to ship it back.

Im not 100% sure but 99% that since this issue was in some of the detectors before you purchased it, that is assuming it will actually have an issue whites wont make the customer pay for shipping. If it was under different circumstances maybe but not something like this. Put it this way. Ive used whites detectors since 1978 and not once did i ever worry about whites not taking care of any kind of warranty, or price of shipping or anything. If you have any questions just give them a call.
