MX5-Coinmaster Series Raincover

I found a raincover on ebay for the MX5 or Coinmaster display head for 15 bucks shipped. I got it today and a very well made raincover. The coil plug and headphone flap are all perfectly placed. I had found some others from Russia, but this one is from Ohio and got to me in a couple of days.

I thought the MX5 could be used in the rain, just not submerged?

John, I always try to use a raincover not to keep the rain off, but like the fellow below said, keep my muddy fingers off the screen and push pads. Since I like to try many detectors, I do my best to keep them looking nice and new.They are easier to sell when not scratched or caked with mud. I will hunt in a light mist, but if it is raining I head for home. Being retired is great because there is always tomorrow.

Do they make one for the battery box, as it is always on the ground when you go to dig?

Frank, as far as I know they do not make a battery compartment cover. I took one of those elastic bowel covers and stretched it over the battery box. I have had the same one on for a month or so and it has not ripped. They come in a package of five and cost a buck or so. It fits like a glove. Hope this helps.

The e-bay vendor from Russia sells both the control pod and battery box rain cover. I have a set for my daughters coinmaster and both fit like a glove.
