MX sport! wouldn't leave home without it !

Waterhound here! That's right I will always be taking my MX with me from now on. This sport is a beast on aluminum , runs good at just below freezing , and lve been running on low battery one bar for three days , and still has good quick response. I'm impressed every day with this machine . starting to understand the sounds of pull tabs square and older round ones deep or shallow . and the jumpness of junk metal, OK so l changed my name and bad attitude about the MX sport , but why dont they take the post I'm sick of this machine off the forum , and just let me forget about it? Hot rocks are not so bad! Their sound is sharp and clear and that could be something good. Tomorrow l will be taking the MX to a small river mouth and grand traverse bay on lake mi the temp should be a heat stroke 36 or more from waterhound .

Keep working it and putting in more time with the MX sport and it will start giving you some amazing finds. Took me a few hunting trips out the break my habit of trying to run it hot in the 7 to 8 sensitivity range like I was used to running the MX5. Kept scratching my head wondering why the factury default was 5. Now it's rear that I kick it up past 6.

Good advice matt! I will look up Paul old California for more help with MX, are soil is Michigan sand the finally clay not much mineralization , l do ground balance a lot anyway . has any one that water hunts painted their coil tips with yellow ? It sure helps when waters murky or sediment clouds up , its a drag waiting for 5 to ten minutes for bottom to clear ,I just make sure the paint looks professionally applied .

Found a nice piece of drift wood board with my MX and a very large aluminum dinosaur coin ! Not every days a ring day , but the drift wood had a spike in it and had such a wonderful cracked weathered patina , I'll make a antiques for sale sign out of it for are families treasure room in the basement .its like stepping back into time, we have a old barn tools, logging saws , muskie lure cases that light up and steem engine gears antique bottles ceramic jugs , even a old standing corn grinder, saddles coffee grinders old western mags , of course pool table and fireplace deer mounts and much more! My wife and I really like old american history and decided to make are own antique store in are home so we can escape to a cozy time of the past . if you put directional lighting on the antiques they look even more fascinating when the main lights are turn down. What does all this have to do with the MX sport? Its a good relic detector and l can't wait until they take the 120 year old dams out and find what's on the bottom l have already found a 1880s axe head . l like the things aquachigger finds he makes a good time of no mater what he looking for. Well theirs no detecting clubs in north western mi so l right on the forum so thanks for some of your responses your friend waterhound.

Still taking the MX sport out! Found some old fishing lures! Like it more each time, if all metal gets to much, l just use coin and jewerly.for a while .

Took the MX sport out today and found two small rings , gold plated costume jewelry ! Its OK, they were my first rings with the sport, gold or not! I was in coin and jewelry and they hit loud and solid, I still won't leave home without it, its a keeper , what's really nice is the mode choices, I guess it really is several machines in one , waterhound

Just got home from the sand bar on torch lake mi. And found one silver earring and one possible gold ! Ran the MX in prospecting mode sat 7 or 8 sensitivity about 7 or 8 and frequency around 4 to calm it down because my buddy's MX was 30 feet away ! What a beast , top of are game with this machine ! My hunting buddy is a minelab guy but ! Something tells me that he's a changing. He really likes his sport as well , look out other high dollar water machines, a beast is coming, and its a 1000 $ dollars cheaper than some . won't leave home without it! Waterhound

Well Im sure posting my finds every day is not necessary , the whites MX sport is very sensitive , coin and jewelry finding detector, and after learning how to use it I can see why many people like this and other whites machines, have a fun safe. Hobby this spring and summer. Waterhound
