MX Sport. Salt water able ? Or just fresh.

When the BEACH search program is selected, filtering is applied that deals with salt / alkali ground. If you are hunting fresh water beaches, you will want to use one of the other programs such as COIN & JEWELRY or HI TRASH and tweak the discrimination and other settings to your preferences (settings are saved when you make them).

A few enhancements were made to the MXSport since I last had it at the SC beaches in December but even then, for a single frequency detector it was extremely quiet and got respectable depth in the wet sand / surf region . . . did not have a wetsuit with me so wading into the surf was not something I was up to when the temps were in the 40's :surprised:

Andy

Hi Andy I wasn't sure if you would see my question on other thread about the MX sport. The 2 coil options that you mentioned for the MX sport, will they be available at the same time as when Whites releases the MX sport? thanks

My understanding is that they will be or will be shortly after the release . . . . . inventory is being built up to support the release and when the optional package will be ready is not certain yet

What SC beach did you test it on Andy? I live in Charleston where the targets and tones are few and far between. Sometimes I take the finny just so I can get excited when a bottle cap gives me a tone. Good to hear the MX Sport runs smooth in wet salt sand. My MXT Tracker ran real smooth at the beach. Sold it a relic hunter so I can raise cash for the MX Sport.

We were at Folly and James Island . . . my daughter lives there so we try to combine hunting with visits.
