MX Sport. Salt water able ? Or just fresh.

When the BEACH search program is selected, filtering is applied that deals with salt / alkali ground. If you are hunting fresh water beaches, you will want to use one of the other programs such as COIN & JEWELRY or HI TRASH and tweak the discrimination and other settings to your preferences (settings are saved when you make them).
A few enhancements were made to the MXSport since I last had it at the SC beaches in December but even then, for a single frequency detector it was extremely quiet and got respectable depth in the wet sand / surf region . . . did not have a wetsuit with me so wading into the surf was not something I was up to when the temps were in the 40's

My understanding is that they will be or will be shortly after the release . . . . . inventory is being built up to support the release and when the optional package will be ready is not certain yet

What SC beach did you test it on Andy? I live in Charleston where the targets and tones are few and far between. Sometimes I take the finny just so I can get excited when a bottle cap gives me a tone. Good to hear the MX Sport runs smooth in wet salt sand. My MXT Tracker ran real smooth at the beach. Sold it a relic hunter so I can raise cash for the MX Sport.
