Mutiple Silvers and Indians today!

Hi Everyone,

I got out for a few hours today and went back to the park I hit last weekend. I wanted to re-scan the area that I found silver in last week as well as wander around and see if I could locate another prime area. Well, I didn't find a new area, but I did manage to pull 2 more silvers and 2 indian head pennys out of the same area i was working last week. One of the indians is in really nice shape, so that was exciting.

I used my iphone instead of my normal camera and the video quality is way better. I will definately be using the phone going forward, even though it has less megapixels it takes better videos - you can actually see the details of the coins now! Way better.

Hopefully the rain holds off this weekend so I can get back out there!

Congrats on the injuns and 2 silver dimes. That 1907 injun is in great shape. The thing with the red ends looks like it may be an old type of electrical fuse. Your video came out real nice with the iPhone. May have to give that a try. Looks like your ground has a little moisture in it, very nice conditions. It's so dry here that the plugs will not stay together and it's very difficult to dig.

The blackburn is used to splice overhead wires together. They are still widely used today. Very Nice finds!
Where in MN are you located? I live in Austin MN.

Hey, thanks for the info on the blackburn. Some of the things we dig up are pretty interesting - I wonder how that got there, no wires or buildings around.

I am in the Minneapolis area. How is Austin treating you this MD'ing season?

I am a electrical contractor (Kestner Electric) and have been finding it hard to get out, even at lunch time. Silver count is around 12 for the year, couple silver rings and then my 1st gold ring last weekend. Silver is hard to find in Austin as most of the old streets have been redone and the parks get flooded regularly. Private property is the way to go down here but I find it difficult to ask!
