Yeah there was, it's called the sun! <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> What a great day to hunt and if this is my last hurrah I can live with it. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=""> Today we didn't really do anything different but I guess what we usually do works pretty good. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
Here is the Junkola ... I mean relics. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="">
<img src="http://www.findmall.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10071/123a.jpg" alt="" />
For coins I also had two coppers but they are taking a bath. One was a Geo II copper and the other an early French. Both should be so so after a long soak. But enough of that already, this was to be my biggest silver count in 4 years (don't expect too many <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">) so I'll let er rip.
First I'll get this one out of the way. I'm glad it was pretty ugly anyway. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=""> May have been the plow, not sure.

Did get a second dime and didn't use my Freddy Kruger digger this time. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
<img src="http://www.findmall.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10071/101.jpg" alt="" />
Walking towards my tectin bud I seen this right on the surface beside a footprint. He had found one just a bit earlier so I was sure he had dropped it. Nope <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="">
<img src="http://www.findmall.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10071/103.jpg" alt="" />
Now back to the relics for a sec. A neat tooled Colonial era button.
<img src="http://www.findmall.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10071/123c.jpg" alt="" />
3 Unmarked early French Marine buttons (early to mid. 1700s)
<img src="http://www.findmall.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10071/123b.jpg" alt="" />
Now ALMOST last but not least, this, even though in rough condition was to be my find of the day. It was a very low signal very comparable to foil and when I first picked it up I thought it was a very badly bent button. I wiped a little dirt and seen lettering and thought I had found a military <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="">... Nope! <img src="/metal/html/frown.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=""> but after inspecting a little closer it turned out to be a very thin, bent old French silver coin (about 1710-1713 I think) <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=""> Not the greatest but heck it was a cool way to end the year.

The site didn't seem to be giving up much more so I headed towards where my friend was hunting and decided to try a spot where I had found a few goodies in the Spring. By this time my hunting partner gave me the 15 minute warning before we were to head out. With about 5 minutes to go I heard a sweet sound that was not very deep. Everything at this place is old so it at worst was likely an old copper and at best who knows. No, not a gold coin but still a good close to the year. <img src="/metal/html/glasses.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=""> Ok, I'm outta here!
Matty look at your own risk! <img src="/metal/html/razz.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":razz">
