What ever happened to all the Musketeer users out there? I know they discontinued it, But there must be some users out there I just bought one on feebay and want to know what to expect
thanks
John

I still have one and use it from time to time
I have been very pleased with the performance of mine and even without a meter,
the tones will tell you something about the target you are over.
Not much you can do wrong as far as the way you swing the detector or the way you set it up.... it is very forgiving.
I think minelab made a mistake when this model was discontinued and I bet other users feel the same.

I like that they discontinued it, that's less competition using the secret weapon lol. Most detectorists just don't know the capabilities of this one tone wonder. Incredible relic and coin machine!! Low frequency (5khz) bangs hard on coins and brass/copper and lead targets to 10"-12" with ease. Swinging fast or slow doesn't change depth capability, nor does cranking up the discrim. I use one for my field hunts with a 15" WOT coil. Will peg the tiniest of items, and u can cover way more ground then with other detectors. Very fast recovery speed and easy to pinpoint in discrim with the tip of the coil. Email me if u need any pointers...

I have one mounted on a P----R straight shaft and have 3 coils for it...the smaller 7.5 inch, the 10 inch and the 15 inch WOT. The unit is a GREAT all around machine. I dirt AND salt water beach hunt with it.

It's a unit I won't sell, because it is very easy to use, has both fixed and manual ground balance, upping the discrimination does not effect depth and you can swing it slow or fast with practically the same results. It hits high and low conductors very well.
