For those of you dealing with mineralized ground i am happy to tell you of my resent test using my musketeer what i did was get buckets of gravle and used a magnet to take all the magnetic sand and rocks out 1/4" and less now i set up a 3" deep earea in wich my compadre pooped out at 2" in this stuff but the musketeer went right thru it like it was not thear i was totaly suprized no detector i have owned has ever been able to do this minelabe lives up to what they clame in my opinion they are the best if you are dealing whith badd ground this detector will amaze you its as good as a pulse and its vlf

Yeah, it can, depending on where your disc is set at, but its easy to tell that's what it is by the broken, spitting sound, like you get with iron.

I know my Advantage works really well on our black sand beaches. it's easily the best single frequency detector I've used in the worst beach conditions I've hunted. My Sovereign works even better though.

crazyman thats intresting the Sov is better intresting as far as hot rocks i have found it is good at ignoring them but they have to be very bad rocks befor it sounds off i will have to look into it more
