A guy is selling one and I am curious to know if they are worth the money? Are they any good? I mainly hunt for coins and etc..

Well i just got one , I live in minesota and my ground si full of black sand if i put a magnet thru it it will load up i would say moderate minearalized ground when i switch out of preset ground on the advantige It is positive so I have to ground balance it but it is the deepest detector ive owned so far i have owned a M-6 a Cibola a silver umax a compadre, and a golden umax this detector blows them out of the water on depth in disq whith preset ground i can hit a 7"buried dime no problem using both the 7" and 10" coil but the 10" coil is deeper and i can also get the 8" dime signal is soft and you have to swing faster now in all metal I have no problem getting a cladd dime at 10" no problem good signal both ways the trick is you must be ground balanced and set the thresold just to whithin a hair of whear it will start beeping now i just buried the dimes les than two weeks ago and the ground has become bone dry two reasons why i sould not be able to go deep but it still goes deep i love the clear solid sounds it gives as well you can tell you have a quality machine when you are using it I have not had a chance to get it out yet but i have just got permission to hunt an 1880s farm that will be intresting for once i can get past that 6" mark boy that feels good Gunnar MN

I say this because many folks simply ignore the Musketeer Advantage when considering something from Minelabs line-up of detectors.
It is deadly deep and can be hunted at just about any swing speed with success, it handles iron and trash sites with ease when set-up with the right coil.
Don't let the single tone feature fool you into thinking it's not capable of telling the user much, once it's language or subtle nuances are learned ... watch out !
A few years ago I took one to a relic competition in Virginia where Minelab team members competed against other brand names.
All Civil War period relics counted as one point each and at the end of the day all hunters got their relics verified by committee members. This hunt was scheduled for three days and I only hunted one full day and finished in 2nd. place overall in total points with the Advantage..... so what does that tell you about it's capabilities ? It's a giant killer to say the least

I can't tell you how many times I heard .... You found all of that with a Musky :surprised:

The cool thing about the Advantage is that it can be hip mounted or set up on a straight shaft and that improves the overall balance dramatically much like the Sovereign GT making it very competitive.

So Yes ... they are WORTH the money in my opinion.

Mike

I've only heard good things about the Musketeer and I definitely say it's a very good machine to have in the arsenal. You can really cover a lot of ground with it & it goes deep. The Sovereign is another great one 2.
