Musket ball mold...

Bavaria Mike

Detected this farm field over the weekend for about 4 hours. I have hunted this field a lot but it still gives up a few nice relics.

Beer token, good for 1 liter of beer, mid 1700s button and a copper Kreuzer coin from 1851.

Obverse of a worn silver coin with a coat of arms, rampant lion facing left.

Reverse of the coin, nothing to see.

A nice musket or pistol ball mold half, 11mm in diameter and a musket ball. I grid the area it was in then went back over it crossing the opposite way from yesterday hoping to find the other half but no luck. I believe this to be late 1600s to early 1700s, the markings on it matches several other relics I have, like the signature of the blacksmith in a way.

Outside of the mold, looks like it was interchangeable with other molds. You can see the file marks and this is what I am referring to as a signature. HH, Mike
