Musket ball making in the field.

I'm in the UK and have access to a site that saw action during the English civil war. The musket ball count is well into 3 figures, also found lead ingots, and sprues from moulds. Have come across a patch of about 30sq ft and it throws up pieces of lead as shown. They are all flat, and all have the same texture on both sides. It then crossed my mind that it could be drops from a crucible during musket ball production?
Oh, they are not orange, have a new phone and not worked out the camera yet.
