Musket ball find

I had about an hour to kill today so I went out to a park that was carved out of an old farm. The farm dates back to pre-Revolution. I got an erratic signal that was bouncing between 60's and 80's on my AT Pro so I figured I'd better dig it. This is the first musket ball I ever found. Given it's perfect shape it must have been dropped from the bag. Certainly not a ball from any battles since the closest skirmish I'm aware of took place about 15 miles away. Probably just lost while hunting. Didn't find much else but it's all fun.

Cool find. See the flat band around the ball. That's from being loaded & shot. It must've not hit anything hard.
